Ina-Garten
Ina Garden is an American cookbook writer who has won Emmy Awards. She is the host of the longest-running Food Network show Barefoot Contessa. The show began in 2002. It will air for another 27 years. Ina Garten started her career as a journalist at the White House where she wrote nuclear energy policies and budget reports. Though she found the career intellectually stimulating initially eventually she lost her interest in it and purchased a small speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. After nearly 18 years of making the business a massive success, she decided to sell it and started creating her first novel. The cookbooks were followed by many more as well as magazine columns which followed. Another hit was the Food Network Television show. In addition, she sells a variety of products ranging from cooking supplies to storage and equipment. Ina, who is self-taught she has never attended a culinary school or in the hotel. She is a cook who is simple and has her entertaining manner. The most well-known recipes she has created are the lemon chicken that she grills in a skillet as well as Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon, balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
